Avengers: Infinity War

April has been an exciting month for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with today’s release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War.  While continuing to push the envelope, Marvel Studios’ 3rd Avengers installment, Avengers: Infinity War puts our favorite heroes face to face with the “Mad Titan” Thanos.

Thanos finally arrives at earth in his continued search for the Infinity Stones, where his conquest for universal destruction is met by the Avengers defining sense of justice. With the largest roster of heroes in any Marvel Studios film to date, the team in Avengers: Infinity War may be the universe’s last hope for stopping Thanos.

The Shirt

The shirt we used for this month is a slub cotton-polyester blend, providing maximum comfort and durability. Slub refers to the process when weaving the cotton that results in small slightly raised lumps in the fabric. When weaving the cotton in the slub process, the cotton is twisted, creating tiny knots that result in a unique fabric with a nice texture to it. Slub tees are generally light and airy – perfect for nice summer weather. With the combination of polyester and the slub technique, the tee will also require very little maintenance.

The Design

While creating the design for this month’s tee, we wanted to focus more on Thanos’ instrument of power than Thanos himself. We used typographic form as a medium, using verbiage relevant to Thanos’ persona to form the Infinity Gauntlet illustration. On the neck of the tee we also included a small Infinity Gauntlet graphic with Thanos name underneath it.

One of the coolest features of the tee is the perspective of the graphic changing based on your viewing distance. While across the room you can easily make out the Infinity Gauntlet Graphic, however,  the words that make up the image begin to appear as you get closer.

What’s Next?
