Since his first appearance in Marvel’s New Mutants #98, Deadpool has quickly transitioned from a loud-mouth mercenary to a favorite anti-hero to many fans of the Marvel Universe. If by some chance, you are not familiar with Deadpool, fear not as we recently wrote a blog post all about him! To commemorate Deadpool’s widespread popularity, the team behind Arctify wanted to create an all new Deadpool inspired tee.
The Deadpool Inspired Tee
The shirt we used for this month is a pigment dyed cotton-polyester blend, providing maximum comfort and durability. Pigment dyeing is a process where the fabric is dyed using – yep you guessed it – Pigments! While pigments are insoluble in water and do not bind to the fibers, a binding solution is used to adhere the pigment to the fabric. Pigment dyeing is commonly used to create a washed or “distressed” look to a garment. One of the cooler aspects of a pigment dye is the vintage-styled look it provides.
The Design
When creating the design for this month’s tee we went with a cool retro styled Deadpool graphic featuring him leaping into the foreground with his signature katana. For the back print we went with a greyscale, traditional Deadpool logo with his katana below it.
